The Classic Rock Experience

 Born overseas and living in a military family, Angela grew up influenced by different cultures. She comes from a history of creative family members that include musicians, artists, and poets. Music was a huge part of her life, and she was drawn to singing in childhood. In high school she joined chorus and got picked by the teacher for the All-State singing competition because of her significant contribution to the team. 

Being influenced by artists such as Pat Benatar, Lou Graham, Steve Perry, Blondie, and many others, she developed a wide vocal range. In 2018, she joined Blacked Out, a Scorpions Tribute band as a background vocalist. Angela has spent years honing her skills having taken vocal instruction from a renowned vocal coach/behaviorist and has studied vocal music. Angela is an experienced and passionate vocalist. 

She always brings a sense of fun and a great deal of energy to the stage as the lead vocalist in the Force Five Band.

Angela, along with her husband Barry started Force Five Band back in February 2024

 Barry started taking piano lessons at the early age of 8. By the age of 14, he had picked up a guitar at a friend’s house and knew that’s what he wanted to play. Between 15 and 20 he had played with friends in a few bands and did some local shows doing covers and some originals. By 21 he had joined a full original band “Flight” as the only guitarist which lasted less than a year. He then moved to the adjacent practice space to join “Shatter’d” as a second guitarist. This band went for almost 2 years. In his 30s he and former “Flight” drummer joined up with a few more friends and formed “RNT” which lasted off and on for about 10 years. Barry had to take some time off from playing due to a family illness and didn’t start playing again till 2017. He then joined "Blacked Out" the Scorpions tribute band in 2018. Barry and his wife Angela formed Force Five in Feb 2024 and has been rocking since....

Barry’s influences are: Joe Satriani, Van Halen, Dokken, and other 80s rock bands.

I started off playing percussion for the first 15 years of performing with GB and cover bands. 

I switched to bass to form an original music band in the late 80's that got radio air time. 

I later formed a very successful cover band that lasted 26 years in New England The band played at New Hampshire Motor Speedway as well as Opening Day for a baseball stadium among other accomplishments. I formed a Scorpions tribute band that toured in New England. I moved down South and joined Force Five Band. 

 I joined my first band when I was 15 after moving from Ohio to NC.  I played in many bands playing many different styles but have always loved classic rock.  While in Charlotte, I played in a few bands but ended up playing 15 years with basically the same group.  I also played in church for many of the years while in Charlotte. After moving to Ocean Isle, I was looking to continue to play music and was fortunate enough to find the Force Five Band. After 50 years of playing music, I am very blessed to be able to play with Force Five. 

With the Boston-based rock band The Coinz, Dan found a true passion for writing in addition to performing live, including shows throughout the East Coast and Nashville. 

Like many musicians, Dan started early in school choir and recitals and quickly formed bands with his brothers.  Through the 80's, Dan was primarily a musician in the Boston club circuit playing 5+ nights per week.

Since 2000 Dan focused heavily on songwriting and has worked with top-tier talent from Nashville to LA.  His four full length releases are available on all streaming platforms.

Dan is excited about the Grand Strand music scene and joining Force Five in 2025 was the perfect timing..

 NJ based drum addict I grew up playing the NJ shore every summer and the tristate circuit of Philly, Delaware and NJ. 

Started playing drums in the early 60’s and was featured in a few national star shows before I was 10 years old.

Performed as a touring drummer in the late 70’s and early 80’s and worked with a few original acts that became famous. 

Was lucky to play with some very talented musicians in great cover bands as well as original acts. 

My biggest success was starting Burning House Band in 1990 which was an 8 pc horn Soul, Motown and Rock Review band for 30 years. We opened for many national acts and comedians along the east coast performing at tons of venues, arenas, clubs, fairs, corporate gigs and more weddings than I can count. Joined Firestorm Band in 2010 which was a top notch 80’s Classic Rock band up to relocating to Little River SC in 2023.

 Joined Force Five Band in July 2025 performing a great mix of classic rock music that I love to play.

I also have OCD (obsessive chicken disorder) and perform a short drum solo or a song with rubber chickens instead of drum sticks
